My Dream, My Future

All of us have a dream but not all of us make our dreams come true. My life in the future depends on how I strive for the realization of my dream. To have a brighter future means more struggle. Industry and discipline are the steps towards our goal. Success is sweeter if it is acquired with hard labor and sacrifice. We should not be ashamed to work. To work hard are more noble than those corrupt and wealthy who live in style and comforts of life.

Change: It Starts With Me

Change is what we have if the present situation is not favorable to us. We call for a change if the administration doesn't satisfy us. But how many of us are aware that changes must start with us.
Let us change the bad attitudes in us. Start doing now the right thing. Don't be afraid to say the truth whoever gets hurt. Let us follow our conscience and be proud to look at others eye to eye because we know that we are at the right path. We should not be craving with so much wealth if it will cause us to loss our integrity. We have nothing to gain if our riches are acquired illegally. A poor man is more respectable than a rich man who is corrupt.
Let us start doing our best in everything we do. We should not be discouraged if we make mistakes but we should learn from them. Don't give up easily. Work hard and God will do the rest.

Vigan Fiesta

Fiesta is one of our traditions in our country. We celebrate fiesta in honor of our Patron Saint.

January 25 is the feast day of St. Paul, the Patron Saint of Vigan. Vigan celebrates its fiesta by a mass  in the morning and a procession of the image of St. Paul in the afternoon. During the day, school children and students of the different schools in Vigan joined the parade. In the evening with the different barangays had a joyful event at Plaza Salcedo.

Vigan Fiesta is not only for the people of Vigan. Many people from different cities and towns of other provinces came to Vigan to witness this tradition.

Fiesta is very important to the Filipino people because it unites us.

Essence of Christmas

Christmas is the birth of Jesus Christ. We celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ every 25th day of December.
During Christmas we prepare foods and gifts. The true essence of Christmas are sharing and giving. We can't feel the essence of Christmas if don't give love on Christmas Day. " It is better to give than to receive". We must give but we must not expect a return. Christmas is one of the most important celebration so we must celebrate it by giving and sharing.
We must not give and share only during Christmas but we must give and share everyday so that we will feel the true essence of Christmas everyday.

New Year, New Me

This year, 2011, creates a new me. I do not change my appearance but I change my out-look in life. Before, I was a pessimist. I was afraid to discover things for a fear that I would fail. I was afraid to do things for a fear that it might not work out. Now, I have changed from a pessimist to optimist. I have to develop my self-confidence and believe in my abilities. I will set my goal and I will do everything I can to achieve my goal with strong determination. I will reach the top.
The new me is not only a change of my perception in life but also a change of my attitude towards others. I do some good to others and refrain from bringing grief to them. I close my eyes to little faults done to me and forgive those who offended me.
I do not change my good moral. I continue to shun away from virus which will lead to my down fall. I continue to struggle so that someday I will be my grandparent's keeper. I will repay them for all that love and care they are giving me.

Magandang Pagsasamahan Tungo sa maayos at maunlad na Lipunan

A peaceful and progressive society depends on the relationship of the people. Every individual must respect the human rights and dignity of his fellow man. Respect begets respect. He who respects others is also respected by others. We must also respect the law and have discipline. Doing the right thing creates no trouble.
To be progressive, everyone should practice the value of honesty. Government officials must be honest because corruption make our nation poor.

My Semestral Break

There are many ways of spending time wisely. During our semestral break I spent  my time to help at home. By doing this I could make my grandparents happy. Making them happy is a way of showing my gratitude for their patience in taking care of me ever since I stayed with them at the age of two. After working I took a rest by watching television, listening to music or by taking a short nap. I did not go out for gallivanting. I wanted to have bonding with my grandparents and my three-year old cousin whom I consider as my family. But I did not forget to increase my knowledge. Before I went to bed I tried to pass my eyes over my notes. I also spent my time to review for my entrance examination at Saint Louis  University. I hope to study there. My aunt wants me to be a Louisian  too, like her.
